1. Our Commitment

Robinson Global Consulting, LLC, doing business as "Retired and Realizing" ("Company," "RNR," "we," "us," or "our"), is committed to making retiredandrealizing.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who rely on assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice recognition software, or keyboard-only navigation. This matters especially for our community: many of our members are navigating retirement alongside physical or health changes from decades of demanding public service careers, and an inaccessible site fails exactly the people it was built to serve.

2. Standard We Aim For

We aim for our website to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). This is an industry-standard benchmark, not a legal certification, and represents an ongoing goal rather than a one-time achievement. We have not completed a formal, independent accessibility audit of the Service as of the date of this statement, and we do not represent that every page currently meets this standard in full.

3. Measures We Take

As we build and maintain the Service, we work to:

• Use sufficient color contrast between text and background
• Provide descriptive link text and page titles rather than generic labels like "click here"
• Structure content with proper heading levels so it can be navigated logically by screen readers
• Ensure interactive elements, such as buttons and forms, can be operated using a keyboard alone
• Provide captions on video content where practical, recognizing that a majority of our audience watches with sound off
• Review and improve accessibility as the site evolves, rather than treating it as a one-time fix

4. Known Limitations

We want to be direct about where accessibility may currently fall short, rather than overstating our compliance:

• Embedded third-party content: TikTok video embeds and our Facebook Group are hosted and controlled by Meta and TikTok, not by us. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of those platforms' own players, interfaces, or apps.
• Older content: Older blog posts, resources, or images may not yet have complete alt text or fully optimized structure.
• Downloadable resources: Some free downloadable resources (guides, workbooks) may be provided as PDFs that were not originally created with full accessibility tagging.

5. Third-Party Platforms

Portions of our community and content — including our free Facebook Group, and our presence on TikTok and Instagram — operate on third-party platforms we do not own or control. Those platforms are responsible for the accessibility of their own tools and interfaces. We encourage you to review Meta's and TikTok's own accessibility resources directly.

6. Feedback and Accommodation Requests

If you encounter a barrier using the Service, or need information in an alternative format, please let us know. We aim to respond within 48 hours, and up to 72 hours during peak periods, consistent with our general response-time target across the Service. Please include:

• The web page or piece of content where you encountered the barrier
• A description of the issue and, if relevant, the assistive technology or browser you were using
• Your contact information, so we can follow up

We will make reasonable, good-faith efforts to address accessibility barriers that are brought to our attention within our own website, recognizing that some limitations tied to third-party platforms are outside our control.

Accessibility is not a one-time project for us; it is an ongoing part of how we build and maintain the Service. We will periodically review this statement and our practices, and update both as the Service evolves.
